เมื่อมีการเปรียบเทียบของหรือคนสองสิ่งที่เป็นปฏิเสธ โครงสร้างที่ใช้คือ not so…..as หรือ not as….as ได้ทั้งสองโครงสร้างแล้วแต่ชอบ เช่น

เมื่อต้องการเปรียบเทียบคำนามเช่น ในภาษาไทย ใช้ว่า ฉันมีเงินมากเท่ากับเธอ พ่อฉันไม่มีรถมากเท่าพ่อเธอ ฉันได้คะแนนเท่าเขา เรากินข้าวมากเท่ากับคนพวกนั้น วิชัยมีเมียมากเท่ากับพ่อ น้องชายฉันสะสมแสตมป์ได้มากเท่ากับฉัน ฉันกินแฮมเบอร์เกอร์ได้มากเท่ากับเพื่อนฝรั่ง บ้านนี้มีแอร์เท่ากับบ้านหลังนั้น ห้องนี้มีห้องน้ำเท่ากับห้องนั้น ให้นำเอาคำนามที่เปรียบเทียบมาใช้ตามโครงสร้างต่อไปนี้
ถ้าเปรียบเทียบคำนามนับได้ พหุพจน์ ต้องใช้โครงสร้าง
as many + คำนามนับได้พหูพจน์ + as
เช่น
Srisuda has as many boyfriends as Saisamorn.
= ศรีสุดามีแฟนมากเท่ากับสายสมร
My friend can collect as many stamps as my brother.
= เพื่อนฉันสามารถสะสมแสตมป์ได้มากเท่ากับน้องชายฉัน
แต่เป็นคำนามนับไม่ได้ ใช้โครงสร้าง
