A 33-year-old Kazakhstan man was speeding on his motorbike to overtake the bus ahead of him on Sukumvit road. But he crashed into a parked motorcycle and fell off his motorbike, and was instantly killed when the bus ran over his head.

สำนวน to be instantly killed = to die ins...tantly ตายคาที่
คำว่า instant หมายถึง ทันทีทันใด เดี๋ยวนั้น คำนี้เมื่อนำมาใช้เป็นคำคุณศัพท์ก็หมายถึง ทันที เช่น
Instant noodles = บะหมี่ที่กินได้ทันที
Instant coffee = กาแฟที่ชงกินได้ทันที
To overtake + ยานพาหนะหรือใครคนใดคนหนึ่ง หมายถึง แซง

to run over + คนหรือสิ่งใด หมายถึง ทับหรือเหยียบ เช่น
That speeding car ran over a dog.
= รถที่วิ่งมาด้วยความเร็วคันนั้นทับสุนัข
A man was run over and killed by a truck.
= ชายคนหนึ่งถูกรถทับตาย
สำนวน ถูกรถทับตาย ก็สามารถจำไว้ว่า to be run over and killed
เช่น My dog was run over and (was) killed. ละกริยา was ไว้เพราะประธานคือ the dog was killed. ไม่ใส่กริยา was เพราะมี and เชื่อม
= สุนัขของฉันถูกรถทับตาย
