ในภาษาอังกฤษ จะมีกริยาอยู่กลุ่มหนึ่งที่สร้างความปวดเศียรเวียนเกล้ามาสู่หมู่เฮาไม่น้อยเพราะตัวมันเองเปลี่ยนโฉมได้ แต่อย่างไรก็ตาม มันก็เป็นสิ่งที่ต้องเรียนรู้เพราะเราจะเจอกับมันตอลดเวลาที่ใช้ภาษาและมันก็คุ้มค่าในการเรียนรู้ด้วย เพราะมันจะถูกนำมาใช้วัดในข้อสอบตั้งแต่ ป6 ยันปริญญาตรีโน่นเลย
กริยากลุ่มนี้มีอยู่ประมาณหนึ่ง ให้ท่องก็คงไม่ไหว เอาแบบเจอไปจำไปดีกว่า
คำกลุ่มนี้จะแปลว่า ทำให้ เช่น ทำให้สนใจ ทำให้ประหลาดใจ ทำให้ตื่นเต้น ราวๆนี้
โครงสร้างของกริยากลุ่มนี้สำคัญมาก เพราะถ้ารู้โครงสร้างมันแล้ว มันเสร็จเรา
โครงสร้างที่ 1
ประธาน + กริยากลุ่มนี้ + กรรม แปลว่า ทำให้ เช่น
The book interests me. = หนังสือทำให้ฉันสนใจ
The book เป็นประธาน กริยาคือ interests และกรรมคือ ขอย้ำ กริยาทุกตัวที่อยู่ในตำแหน่งนี้ต้องแปลว่า ทำให้ ก่อน เมื่อเก่งแล้วท่านจะปรับเปลี่ยนเองได้โดยอัตโนมัติ

ประธาน + กริยา to be + กริยา ing ให้แปลว่า น่า เช่น
The book is interesting. หนังสือเล่มนี้น่าสนใจ
The book เป็นประธาน กริยาto be คือ is ตามด้วย รูป ing
โครงสร้าง 3
ประธาน + กริยา to be + กริยาช่อง3 ให้แปลว่า รู้สึก เช่น
I am interested in the book. = ฉันรู้สึกสนใจในหนังสือเล่มนี้
กริยา to be ต้องผันเป็น is, am, are , was, were, been แล้วแต่เวลาที่กริยามันเกิด
และนอกจากนี้ ยังมีกลุ่มกริยาที่ทำหน้าที่เหมือนกริยา to be นั่นคือ พวก look (แลดู), sound (ดูเหมือน), seem (ดูเหมือน), feel (รู้สึก), appear (ดูเหมือน), become (กลายเป็น)
สิ่งที่ต้องจำสุดท้ายแล้วก็คือ คำพวกนี้เอาไปไว้หน้าคำนามได้เลยแต่ให้แปลตามที่บอก เป็นรูป ing แปลว่า น่า รูปช่อง 3 แปลว่า รู้สึก ไม่เช่นนั้น เจ้าก็จะงงอีก

2. ing หรือ ed + คำนาม
เพื่อให้ง่ายต่อการจำไปอีก ต้องใช้ตัวอย่างที่มันดูสะใจ
You are disgusting. = แกมันน่ารังเกียจ น่าขยะแขยง
I am disgusted. = ฉันรู้สึกขยะแขยง รังเกียจ
You disgust me. = แกทำให้ฉันขยะแขยง
It is a disgusting joke. มันเป็นตลกที่น่ารังเกียจมาก
