• To abstain from sexual misconduct อ่านว่า มิส (คาน) ดัค คือ การทำสิ่งที่เลวร้ายผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ (ประพฤติผิดในกาม)
• To abstain from telling lies. (มุสา)
• To abstain from all intoxicants. อ่านว่า อิน (ท๊าก) เสอะ เขิ่นส์ ของมึนเมา

But in the evening we have a ceremony called Vientien or a candlelight procession. People hold flowers, incense and a lit candle and walk around the main hall of the temple clockwise three times.

Makha Bucha is observed in Thailand as a public holiday, and most Thai Buddhists go to a temple to pay their respects to the Buddha. วันมาฆะบูชาเป็นวันหยุดนักขัตฤกษ์อีกวันหนึ่งและชาวพุทธส่วนใหญ่ไปวัดเพื่อไปสักการะพระพุทธเจ้า During the daytime, people visit the temples to perform merit making and listening to sermons. ในช่วงกลางวัน ก็ไปวัดเพื่อทำบุญและฟังธรรม In the evening, there is a candlelight procession or wian tian . ตอนเย็น มีพิธีเวียนเทียน Monks and lay people walk around the main hall of the temple clockwise three times. พระและฆราวาสเดินเวียนซ้ายรอบโบสถ์ 3 รอบ They carry flowers, a candle and a lighted incense stick. (ถือดอกไม้ เทียนและธูป = incense sticks)The three circles symbolize the Three Jewels of Buddhism, namely the Buddha, the Dhamma (or teaching) and the Sangha (or monkhood). (การเดินสามรอบหมายถึง พระรัตนตรัย คำว่า jewels หมายถึง เพชรพลอย หรือของมีค่า อ่านว่า จูลส์ อย่าไปอ่านว่า จูเวิล หรือ จิวเวิลนะท่าน รอบแรกเป็นสัญลักษณ์แทน องค์พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า รอบที่สองเป็นสัญลักษณ์แทนคำสอนของพระองค์ และรอบที่สามเป็นสัญลักษณ์แทน พระสงฆ์
Many people observe the Five Precepts, even if only for a few days. These are:
หลายคนที่ถือศีลห้าอีกสองสามวัน
• To abstain from harming living things
• To abstain from stealing
• To abstain from sexual misconduct
• To abstain from telling lies
• To abstain from all intoxicants.
In addition, some Buddhists observe a further three precepts, which are:

• To abstain from eating after midday (งดกินอาหารหลังเที่ยงวัน)
• To abstain from singing, dancing and public entertainment, and wearing perfume or ornaments. (งดร้องรำทำเพลง เต้นรำ และมหรสพทั่วไปและงดใส่น้ำหอมหรือเครื่องประดับ)
• To abstain from using a high bed or soft chair.
• (งดนอนที่นอนสูงหรือไม่นั่งเก้าอี้ที่มีเบาะนุ่ม)

คงจะมีใครบ้างล่ะที่อยากจะบรรยายว่า เป็นวันที่สำคัญอย่างไร หากอยากบอกก็บอกได้ตามนี้ แต่ถ้าชาวต่างชาติเขาไม่ได้อยากรู้อะไรมาก ก็บอกแค่ข้างบน ก็พอรับทานแล้ว
It is the day we commemorate the special events in the development of the religion. เป็นวันที่เรารำลึกถึงเหตุการณ์ที่สำคัญทางศาสนา คำว่า commemorate อ่านว่า เคิม (เม๊ม) เหมอะ เร็ท หมายถึง รำลึก นั่นคือ
1.1,250 monks gathered to hear the Buddha preach.
พระสงฆ์ 1,250 รูปมาพร้อมเพรียงกันเพื่อฟังเทศน์ คำว่า gather อ่านว่า (แก) เด่อร์
2. They were ordained by the Buddha himself.
พระสงฆ์ 1,250 รูปอุปสมบทโดยพระพุทธเจ้า
3. The Buddha taught the principles of the Buddhism. Those principles are: - To cease from all evil, - To do what is good, - To purify one's mind;
พระองค์ทรงสอนหลักของพระพุทธศาสนา นั่นคือ เลิกทำความชั่ว ทำสิ่งดี และ ชำระจิตใจให้ผ่องใส คำว่า evil อ่านว่า (อี) เวิล หมายถึง สิ่งชั่วร้าย
4. It was the full moon day. (เป็นวันพระจันทร์เต็มดวง)
แค่นี้ ก็คงพอแล้วมั๊ง จากนั้น ก็รอไปอีกหนึ่งปี สรุปได้ว่า ปีหนึ่งพูดครั้งเดียว พูดหลายๆปี เดี๋ยวก็ชินไปเอง ที่ชินนั้น ก็คือ ชินที่ไม่อยากพูด หรือพูดไม่ได้ หรือขี้เกียจพูด เป็นไปได้หมด
