นอกจากที่กล่าวมาแล้ว ยังมีโครงสร้างทางภาษาอังกฤษที่คล้ายกับภาษาไทยมากอีกโครงสร้างหนึ่งซึ่งได้แก่ สำนวนว่า ยิ่ง….. ก็ยิ่ง....... เช่น
ยิ่งแก่ก็ยิ่งขี้หลงขี้ลืม ยิ่งสูงยิ่งหนาว ยิ่งเรียนยิ่งโง่ ยิ่งโตก็ยิ่งซ่าส์ ยิ่งมากก็ยิ่งสนุก ข้อความทำนองนี้ในภาษาอังกฤษใช้ว่า
The + ขั้นกว่า + สิ่งเปรียบเทียบ 1+ กริยา , the + ขั้นกว่า + สิ่งเปรียบเทียบ 2 + กริยา
ตัวอย่าง :
The more you study, the more you know.
ยิ่งเรียนมาก ก็ยิ่งรู้มาก
The less confident you are, the more nervous you feel.
ยิ่งมีความมั่นใจน้อย ก็ยิ่งตื่นแต้ว (เต้น) มาก

ยิ่งจริงใจมากเท่าใด ก็ยิ่งน่าเชื่อถือมากขึ้นเท่านั้น
โครงสร้างนี้ง่ายเพราะจะไม่มีประธานและกริยา เช่น
