To find faults with + คนใดคนหนึ่ง หมายถึง จับผิดเกี่ยวกับคนๆนั้น หรือวิจารณ์
เช่น
He always finds faults with me. ...
= เขามักจะจับผิดฉัน
My girlfriend always find faults with me.
= แฟนชอบจับผิดฉัน
He gets bored with his mom because she finds faults with everything he does.
= เขาเบื่อแม่เพราะแม่จับผิดทุกอย่างที่เขาทำ
สำนวน to be someone’s fault หมายถึง เป็นความผิดของคนๆนั้น เช่น
It’s all my fault. = ทั้งหมดเป็นความผิดของฉัน
It’s all her fault. = ทั้งหมดเป็นความผิดของหล่อน
It’s his fault that he was late.
= เขาผิดที่มาสาย
You came late. It’s all your fault that you got up late.
= เธอมาไม่ทัน เป็นความผิดของเธอ ที่ตื่นสาย

= แม้จะมีอะไรไม่ดี เราก็รักเมืองนี้

= In spite of her faults, I still love her.
= แม้เธอจะมีอะไรไม่ดี ฉันก็ยังรักเธอ
สำนวน there’s something wrong with something = มีอะไรผิดปกติเกี่ยวกับสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่ง เช่น
I don’t know why my computer is not working. There’s something with it.
= ไม่รู้ว่าคอมทำไมไม่ทำงาน ต้องมีอะไรไม่ปกติแน่ๆ
A double fault = การเสิร์ฝลูกพลาดสองครั้งในกีฬาเทนนิส
behind someone's back= ไม่ให้คนๆนั้นรู้ หรือลับหลัง เช่น
She likes to gossip behind my back.
= หล่อนชอบนินทาฉันลับหลัง
They criticized their boss behind his back.
= เขาวิจารณ์หัวหน้าลับหลัง
I am sure that they are talking about us behind our back.
= ฉันแน่ใจว่าพวกเขากำลังพูดถึงเราลับหลัง
