The ABC of เรื่องใด

หมายถึง เรื่องที่เป็นพื้นฐาน เรื่องที่จำเป็นต้องรู้ เปรียบ ABC เหมือน อักษร ก ข และ ค ก็คือ ตัวอักษรตัวแรกๆ นั่นเอง

เช่น
Students must learn the ABC of economics before taking a more advanced course.
= นักเรียนต้องเรียนความรู้พื้นฐานของวิชาเศรษฐศาสตร์ก่อนที่จะเรียนวิชาระดับที่สูงขึ้น

Successful candidates must know the ABC of the organization’s policies before working on the mega project.
= ผู้ที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกต้องมีความรู้พื้นฐานของนโยบายขององค์กรก่อนที่จะทำงานในโครงการใหญ่ๆ

Change

Change is constant.

There is tremendous freedom in letting go.

It is liberation to free ourselves of things that clutter our lives.

Like pruning dead branches or like a snake shedding an old skin, we need to let go of what no longer serves or fits so that there is room for something new, alive and what is needed at this time in our lives.

การปล่อยวางทำให้เรามีอิสระอย่างมหาศาล

เช่น

ความหมาย : อยู่แถวๆนี้ หรืออยู่ไม่ไกลจากนี้

เช่น

= ห้างสรรพสินค้าแห่งใหม่อยู่ไม่ไกลจากที่นี่

หรืออีกความหมายหนึ่งก็คือ จะเกิดขึ้นในไม่ช้านี้ เท่ากับคำว่า very soon

หมายถึง ทำทุกวิถีทางเพื่อให้ได้มาซึ่งสิ่งใดสิ่งหนึ่ง ในที่นี้คือสู้เพื่อให้อยู่รอด

= ชายชราคนนั้นทำทุกวิถีทางเพื่อให้ได้รถคืนมา

We will fight tooth and nail to get the mega project done.
= เราจะทำทุกวิถีทางเพื่อทำให้โครงการขนาดยักษ์นี้สำเร็จ

ความหมายคือ ต้อนเข้ามุม หรือทำให้เข้าสู่สถานการณ์ลำบาก 

เช่น

= รัฐบาลถูกต้อนเข้าสู่สถานการณ์ลำบาก (ถูกต้อนเข้ามุม)

Forgive

= คุณจำเป็นต้องเอาค่าใช้จ่ายในการเดินทางทั้งหมดมาคิดพิจารณาให้รอบคอบก่อนที่จะเดินทาง

= เราต้องนำเอาทั้งการทดสอบทางทัศนคติและทางสติปัญญามาใคร่ครวญพิจารณาในการคัดสรรคนเข้ามาทำงาน

หมายถึง คิดบัญชี มีความหมายแฝงว่า จะเช็คบิล หรือจะแก้แค้น

= อย่ากังวลไป ฉันจะคิดบัญชีกับแกที่ทำให้ฉันเสียหน้า

= ชายคนนั้นตั้งใจจะคิดบัญชีกับแฟนสาวฐานหลอกใช้เขา

Focus

When you direct your focus to the good – you will see more good.



If your focus is directed to the stress and struggle – you will see more stress and struggle.

When you focus on anything, you empower it whether it is anger, stress, worry, suffering or disappointment, or happiness, joy, fun, peace or laughter.

Remind yourself to pay attention to only good things and you will become powerful.

หากเราจดจ่ออยู่กับสิ่งที่ดี เราก็จะเห็นสิ่งที่ดีมากขึ้น

หากเราเอาใจไปจดจ่ออยู่กับความเครียดและปัญหา เราก็จะพบแต่ความเครียดและปัญหา

เมื่อเราสนใจกับอะไร สิ่งนั้นก็จะมีพลัง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นความโกรธ ความเครียด กังวล ทุกข์หรือความผิดหวัง หรือความสุข ความสนุก ความสงบหรือเสียงหัวเราะ

เช่น

= เขาสันทัดทางภาษา

= หล่อนสันทัดประวัติศาสตร์

เรื่องงานเลี้ยงนะ หูฉันไม่กระดิกเลย ก็สามารถใช้ได้ว่า I don’t have an ear for partying.

หมายถึง หายใจเข้าออกเป็น…..

เช่น

= พวกเขาเป็นเพื่อนซี๊กันแต่ก็กัดกันยังกับหมา

=ตูจะให้สูยืมเงิน 1 ล้านบาท และสูต้องคืนให้ตูตอนสิ้นเดือนนะ เป็นสัญญาลูกผู้ชาย ตกลงไหม

= ฉันสัญญาว่าจะช่วยไม่ว่าจะมีอะไรเกิดขึ้น รับรองได้ เป็นสัญญาลูกผู้ชาย (สัญญาใจ)

True Happy Life

If you want to live a truly happy life, make it a priority to LIVE more in the PRESENT MOMENT.

You don’t need fancy cars, you don’t need a lot of money. 


You don’t need THINGS.

You don’t need things outside to make you truly happy because things keep changing.

Just acknowledge that it keeps changing, and feel good to know the change.

Everything keeps changing and you yourself are no exception.

สำนวนนี้มาจากตำนานของกรีกโรมันเขา อาคิลิสเป็นวีรบุรุษที่ยิงไม่เข้า ฟันไม่ออก อยู่ยงคงกระพัน สำหรับฝรั่ง เขามีวิธีทำให้คนอยู่ยงคงกระพันได้วิธีหนึ่งก็คือ เอาตัวเด็กจุ่มลงไปในบ่อน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ แล้วผลที่ออกมาก็คือ คงกระพัน แต่ก็มีจุดอ่อน ก็คือ เวลาคนเขาเอาเจ้าเด็กคนนี้จุ่มลงไปในน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่จะทำให้เขาเป็นมนุษย์ที่ฟันแทงไม่เข้า เขาจับเอาส้นเท้าไว้ และส้นเท้านี่แหละคือจุดที่ไม่โดนน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ จึงเป็นจุดอ่อน นักรบที่ชื่อ Achilles ก็เป็นหนึ่งในนั้น หากมีใครพูดว่า อะไรเป็นจุดอ่อนของใครคนหนึ่ง สามารถใช้สำนวนนี้ไปบรรยายได้
