No. 1 Unhappy people aim for perfection. It cannot exist in our real life.

คนที่ไม่มีความสุขมุ่งหวังสิ่งที่สมบูรณ์แบบ ซึ่งไม่มีในชีวิตจริง

คำว่า doubt หมายถึง ความสงสัย ความเคลือบแคลง ความหวาดระแวง เป็นได้ทั้งคำนามนับได้และนับไม่ได้ เช่น

I have some doubts about this issue.

= ฉันมีข้อสงสัยนิดหน่อยเกี่ยวกับประเด็นนี้

และสำนวน No doubt about it! สามารถเอาไว้ใช้เมื่อต้องการจะสื่อว่า เป็นแบบนั้นอย่างไม่ต้องสงสัย โดยจะใช้พูดแค่นั้น หรือจะเอามาใช้พูดเสริมก็สามารถทำได้ เช่น

A: Do you think it is going to rain?

คิดว่าฝนจะตกไหม

B : No doubt about it.

ของมันแน่

หรือปรากฏในข้อความทำนองนี้ เช่น

He will pass the test. No doubt about it.

= เขาจะสอบผ่านได้แน่ ไม่ต้องสงสัย (ของมันแน่)

The economy is getting worse because of the political conflict. No doubt about it.

= เศรษฐกิจกำลังแย่เพราะความขัดแย้งทางการเมือง ของมันแน่ (ไม่ต้องสงสัยเลย)

There is no doubt that + S + V เช่น

There is no doubt that he is a professional doctor.

= ไม่ต้องสงสัยเลยว่าเขาเป็นหมอระดับมืออาชีพคนหนึ่ง

There is no doubt that this team is going to win.

= ไม่ต้องสงสัยเลยว่าทีมนี้จะชนะ

สำนวนฝรั่งที่ตรงกับเราก็คือ เมื่อสงสัย ให้ถาม ของเขาใช้ว่า When you are in doubt, ask.

โครงสร้างที่ใช้คือ

When / if (you are) in doubt, + กริยา เช่น

When (you are) in doubt, don’t do anything.

= หากสงสัยอะไร อย่าเพิ่งทำอะไร

If (you are )in doubt, consult the doctor.

= ถ้าสงสัยอะไร ไปปรึกษาหมอ

คำว่า you are จะใส่หรือไม่ใส่ก็ได้
